The world's largest off-shore wind turbine park is located 14-20 km off the west coast off Jutland. The eighty 110 metre high turbines have an output of 160MW, corresponding to the annual electricity consumption of 150.000 households. This means that 2% of Denmark's power consumption is produced on the reef Horns Rev.

The reef is an excellent foundation for such a park as the water is so shallow that the shipping routes pass around it, so there is no risk of collision with ships.

There's an interesting exhibition on the projekt in the Tourist Information buildings at Blåvandshuk Lighthouse in Blåvand. Admission is free.
